M1A with no markings on it at all?

I posted this over in GD by mistake. If a Mod could go delete it, that would be great.
On to the question.
Bought a nice M1A with no markings on it at all. Nowhere. No SN, no caliber, no maker, nothing. And there is no evidence that any of the #'s were removed. odd? Gun has the cut out stock for the selector switch, but it's not there of course.

But, you should be aware that "M1A" is copyrighted by Springfield Armory Inc for their US RIFLE M14 clone. If it's not made by Springfield Armory Inc, it's not an M1A.
