Hi, What is the cheapest way to ship a handgun for a private person. I bought one and the person can't find a dealer to ship it for them. Overnight is $80 from NC-PA

Thanks

There is an FFL finder on the GB website....

He said he used that and they didn't want to ship a handgun for him? I had suggested that to him.

He can ship it himself to you via common carrier to an FFL in your state. Make sure YOUR FFL is willing to accept a shipment from a non-FFL shipper. Some will not, even though it is legal. Find one in your community who will and give him all your business. [:)]

Please notify the GB admin who this FFL is so they can clarify his policies. The whole reason they list themselves is supposedly because they are willing to ship. [:(]

Also, +1 on reminders below. We are mainly talking about Federal Law here. Don't forget to check any state or local laws for stricter provisions.

You don't need an FFL to ship your gun from . You need one to ship to . Go to a UPS service center / depot and they'll send it right out for you . Tell them it's going for repair !

Chumchum, just tell him to ship from any local Fedex Office store. If you have a Fedex account, you can give him your account number & the charge will be slightly lower.

Not by Federal Law but some states, like NY, require handguns to be shipped into the state by FFL dealers only.
