Yep, heard the 101st ran him out on a rail. Why the media feels this need to give full details and locations is unbelievable. I guess they don't think the Iraqis are watching our newscasts. After all, we never see anything from their Al-Jazeera broadcasts, right?[xx(]

It's the Battle of the Networks.
NBC and CBS saying he's out.
FOX still saying he is not.

I wonder if his celebrity status was diverting the troops attention away from the task ahead of them. If he gave out classified info then he does need spanked. Like I said earlier in a different post, I sure felt that maybe having him there was good for morale. Also I had put my distain for him aside along as he was contributing in a good way.,,,sod

He is still there. The report he aired went to far....Gee what a surpise comming from him. I think he will get slapped on the wrist and stay. Maybe he will learn his lesson.

It ain't easy to truck out a journalist whose embedded near Baghdad -- at least, that would be my guess. MSNBC is not only reporting he's out, they are insulting him in return for what he said about them being rats and not being able to compete adequately this morning.

Also, CNN is reporting he's been "asked to leave by the DoD," but admitting he's still there and closer to Baghdad than ever at the moment. I hope too he gets a wrist slap. Even though he drew a map of his unit's location in the sand (pretty bad, I agree), they can't throw a journalist out every time. This embedding thing is still brand new. I'll go with whichever way it turns out, but I think a second chance is in order.

Meanwhile, MSNBC is asking which is worse -- what Arnett did or what Geraldo did. I'd say Arnett hands down. Arnett now has a new job with the London Times-Mirror liberal newspaper and he now says he "doesn't apologize for reporting the truth." Sounds like a new paycheck has cured his brief fit of remorse this morning. What a boob.

Oh, and the Columbia professor who said there should be "more Mogadishus" and the U.S. should lose the war if liberals truly believe in the rightness of the Iraq point of view? He still has his teaching job tonight.

Welcome back. Ain't modern medicine grand? My aunt had some more pains after a recent stint implant, and the docs found the stints were still fine. So if you have more pains, go in and check 'em out, but no need to panic over it. Just take it easy. They're right about the 10mm. I would shoot little and cautiously for a bit, if I were you. After all, they let you come home early... [8D]

They should boot all of the imbeded people out and just have a few reporters farther away from the lines. Hearing blow-by-blow accounts of the battles and speculation on future moves, tactics and war plans does nothing but hurt the war effort.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't let him "leak" the info,
they would like to draw more of the battles out of the cities
and into the open for our air forces to destroy.
    just a thought.....

Geraldo is a dork, can't stand to watch him at all but I tend to side with dongizmo, almost sounds like dirty pool. If it is dirty pool I hope it works, if it isnt maybe a swift kick in the nads is in order, live on tv of course!

What happened to Geraldo being stationed in Afghanistan?
I thought he wanted to be "the man who covered the capture of Bin Laden".
When did he show up in Iraq anyhow?
