"a new barrel should make a nice deer rifle"
something wrong with the barrel?
have the 99A, un-fortunately in .303 Sav which is a * to find!
up till i ran out of ammo it was my fav for deer as wel as 100 yd shoots with just the iron sites (till the eyes started getting worse)
just found a set of dies, now trying to locate brass and a good solid recipe...
99F?

From what I'm guessing it is a different barrel as there is no open sights on it serial number on the receiver dates it 1947
That scope looks almost as big as the gun!!
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
Is it just the picture or is that barrel REALLY short?
I think it has a carbine barrel I don't know if a carbine was availble in 1947 who ever reworked it done a very good job the action is slick as butter

I have a special place in my heart for carbines and short barreled rifles. I really want a 99 (and will get one eventually), great buy!!
