16 inch barrel question

Is the red tape for carbines having a 16 inch from the 1994 AWB? If that sunsets will we be able to buy NEW MP5s, etc without the gay PC 16inch barrel?

I'm not sure but that would be cool the civilian versions always look so stupid with the long barrels.

No, that was previous rules and that will stay the same.

Damn politicians! Owell theres always a SBR form.

One guy at Hkpro had his HK USC barrel cut down to the real USCs barrel length. All you have to do is fill out an SBR form and other stuff with the ATF.

The short barreled rife restriction dates back to the National Firearms Act of 1934 and it is not going to sunset in anyones lifetime! No new machineguns have been imported into this country for sale to private citizens since late 1968 and this restriction is not ending any time soon either. A registered and original MP-5 will cost you around $15,000 if such can be located for sale. There has been a ban on the production of new domestic machineguns for sale to private citizens since 1986 and it th law is not sunseting with the Crime Bill. A registered HK-94 semi auto which was converted to full auto prior to 1986 will run you around $8,000+ or about $6,000 foe just the registered sear.
