Personally I can hardly bear republicans, but I cant stand democrats.
I will be looking for alot of info on him before 08, thought I know my vote wont matter here in CA.
I hear Mc Cain breaks from the rep party line alot, so do I.
I saw a youtube video of him speaking on immigration, and I agreed with him.
If he is "republican" when it comes to gun rights, immigration, and welfare, and independant on others, he has my support.
If I find he pays lipservice to immigration crackdowns and gun rights, he can rot.
I know he supports amnesty for illegals and wants to close the dreaded but non-existant "gun show loophole".
He "can rot" as far as I'm concerned.
I'm going to have to do some research on McCain....
Here you go. Take your pick:
Pro-gun McCain http://www.ontheissues.org/Domestic/John_McCain_Gun_Control.htm
-or-
Anti-gun McCain

He's a tool. A phony. At best he'll be a grab bag on most issues. And sadly, he's probably the best option available at this time. What a laugh.
Anyway, where are we going and why are we in this hand basket?
If my choice is between John McCain and Hilary Clinton for president, I'll waste my vote on whoever else is on the ticket, even if it's the communist.
He'd get my vote only in the event that I couldn't stomach the Democrat nominee.
It would be the first time ever I've pulled the lever for a Democrat for POTUS, and I've been voting since 1986.

Somebody on here the other day called him McShame. That's a good name for him.
Party does not matter, they all do basically the same thing if elected.
It's the old "lesser of two evils" trick for the umpteenth time. Seems to work rather well.
McCain is a genuine American Hero. There is a lot I like and respect about the man, but there is no way in hell I can vote for him, even if it means the Hildabeast will be the next president of the United States.

Although I am a wartime vet I would not vote for him. My vote, hopefully, will go to Tancredo. He is the only conservative so far.
I am beginning to think you are correct. Maybe Mr Romney, but I am not sure where he stands on gun issues. I like Rudy but he is anti-gun. Seems like all folks from NYC are anti-gun.

Mr. Romney signed into law an "assault weapons ban" while he was Governor.
He said that's what the pro-gun lobby wanted.[xx(]
P.S. I used to work for the People's Republic of Palo Alto, where do you live?
Anyone have a definitive answer on Giuliani since he is supposed to be way ahead of McCain?
The real shame is that there is no one yet who is a good choice for the Republican party and as for the Democrats, Clinton or Obamma are a disgrace!! Either one of these anti-gunners have me looking for an air tight box the bury my firearms in and wait for BATFE to come to confiscate my libery.
