Do you remember the trip I talked about where I got stuck by the catfish? I've decided that the spine is still in my finger, you can feel it. The itching and swelling have gone down, but you can see and feel it.

Anyway, here's the finger....

and here's me, we took the boat to a small lake near the lake that my parents own a house on. This is the only thing we caught worth even keeping.(I know, I doesn't look big, but that's because of the beast of a being behind it[:)]) A nice, that's actually a pretty good - 16-18oz Black Crappie.

My Dad and I used to spined all the time when we were checking tires for catfish. We just rubbed some of the catfish slime on it and it was okay the next day.

A friend of mine got "bit" by a foul mouth bass while we were on a fishing trip in Michigan. It got infected and he had to go on antibiotics.

Rubbing catfish slime on it only introduces bacteria to the wound. It may neutrialize the poison, but it still needs really cleaned out.

That is Glen Flint Lake. It's a beautiful lake, very clean, not very busy. I think it has been pretty much fished out though. It's like 380 acres, on the west(I think) end, is a bunch of trees coming through the water, a bass fishermans dream. We tried taking our Skiboat back there and "Thunk" hit something, turned around and got out. A flatbottom would be great back there.

My parents place is on the Raccoon.
