The hardest gun that you have to clean?

The biggest pain in the rear gun that I own to clean is the Vector Arms RPD in semi-automatic belt feed.
It takes a good 2 hours to take part, clean, then put back together.
Way to many little curclips and pins, just a genuine pain.

Whats your demon to clean??

Savage 110 in 300 WinMag. Copper fouling is a pain in the behind on that one.

since all of mine are basic pump/bolt/lever action none of them are really that hard to clean, but i'm still working on cleaning up my premier rifle, and no matter how much i run the brush down the barrel theres still stuff coming out, from what i can tell, it was probably my great uncle's first rifle, and seeing as how he was in his 80's, its probably been sitting for a few decades

I dont have a problem with any of my guns now but Im not cleaning belt fed guns either.Until I learned the trick the Ruger MK I,MK II, as well as the 22/45 in MK II was complicated. The standard MK II was what I learned on after alot of sore fingers until I mastered it.The MK I dissassembled/assembles the same way but Ive never fired it and dont plan to so I just gave it the the barrel cleaning and a good chamber cleaning.I now have the MK III and the MK III 22/45 Goverment Target.Their now a breeze to clean after alot of cleaning my MK II I shamefully got it figured out.[B)]

I agree with Nylon 66.I found it best to wash them out with brake cleaner and compressed air.

My most annoying/hard gun to clean is my AK-47.....oh wait, I haven't cleaned that gun in 10 years.....

seriously though, I think my most difficult gun to clean is probably any of my lever actions. I don't take them apart to clean them often, but once every few years to get the grime out of the internals and reoil them. But I find it a most annoying task.

44 cap n ball black powder revolver. I never shoot it anymore because of the time it takes to clean and lube it.

Longest to clean semi auto JRW M60, not hard just time consuming.

Hardest, either lever actions, or my SPAS 12

I dont own one but the worst gun I have ever had to strip down and clean, Browning A5

I spray all mine with Scotchgard when I buy them, so as long as I don't drop them in the mud or drip bbq sauce on them, is cleaning REALLY necessary?

All of my guns are pretty easy to take down and clean. I guess the hardest one for me in my S&W 22A, and its pretty easy.

Spudshot, if you'll invest in a chamber plug and fill the barrel with solvent and let it sit over night, you'll probably make better progress. May take a couple of tries.

several people have stated the Ruger MKII, to me its the easiest,I have over 30 thousand rounds through mine and it has never been taken apart, not to my knowledge anyway,I bought it used at a pawn shop, wash it out with WD-40 ,use the straw to get into the tough places, then lube with a good oil and its good to go,only time it ever jams is it does not like remington ammo.will not feed it

I got a Reminton pump .22 with so much lead and copper fouling in the bore that I have never seen the rifling. I've cleaned the thing ten times, used all kinds of foul out and lead out and copper out. I brought it to my friend to put his electroytic bore cleaning rod in it. The rod cleaned out a bunch of lead, but still no sign of the rifling or shiny metal of the barrel steel, just more dull looking crap in the bore. the guy i got it from said his dad never cleaned it in the 30 years he'd known about the gun, probably many years before that even. I figure over 50 years it might have been shot a couple hundred thousand times without being cleaned. It doesn't shoot too bad at fifty feet.

I really don't like cleaning the C96. I shoot it often and it needs constant field stripping to function properly.
I also shoot and tear down a MK 1 quite a bit. After about 2-5000 rounds of target 22s,it will load up enough that the bolt won't always go into battery. For this you need to field strip and pick the goo out with a tool. But it aint as bad as the Mauser to clean and get back together.
How about a question on the easiest gun to clean? Say 2 minutes max.

Gotta be that darn AMTII or III. The strength you need in the web of your hand to hold back the rear sight (and slide) while you deftly slip the slide lock lever and pin out from the other side of the frame without losing 2-3 fingers is awesome!
Other than that the Hi-Point 995 clamshell design leaves a lot to be desired.
I've never had a problem with Nylon 66's. Not even the CBC Brazilian copies.
Toughest compensator was on that Cobb .50; wow! Thought I'd have to bead blast it!

AR15's were always the most annoying to clean. Also I once completely tore down a Ruger MKI and spent a LONG time getting the sear back in right.

My G-3 is the most PITA rifle to tear down, but the gun that requires the most elbow grease is my Beretta Stampede .45 Colt. I shoot cast bullets almost exclusively in that gun, and getting the lead fouling out of the forcing cone and the recesses where the grooves meet the base of the lands proves to be all but impossible.

Save the seals-club a liberal instead.

I'm sure you all are saying "are you nuts, thats easy to clean"

it is easy.. its just getting the motivation to do it, knowing that it will shoot round after round just fine without a cleaning [:D]
