If you could only have two?

If you could only have two guns from your collection, a rifle and a pistol, what would they be? I think I would have a very hard time choosing.

1. My Browning 7mm Mag. with 3-9 Leopold.
2. Kimber Classic Stainless Target 1911 45ACP.

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

If I could have only two guns from my collection, I could keep the whole collection. Not exactly, but close.

    Browning a-bolt stainless stalker in 300winmag w/leupold 3x9x40 and my mossberg w/ 18in barrel.

That should take care of both the long and short of it , so to speak.

Jody ... I could only wish I had BIG GUNS like those to play with

On either, I'd be torn; It would depend on circumstances ... Just for general purposes, it would probably be:

Rifle - Steyr AUG A2 or HK SR9T
Pistol - Kimber Pro-Carry CDP or Beretta 92FS

I hope I never have to decide

    =================================
The only bad thing about choosing a Kimber ...
... there are so darn many models to choose from!

    you sure make it hard.
M1 Grand in .308. It will stop and drop anything reasonable, ammo supply is plentifull and in multiple configurations.
Clark Meltdown in .45 a.c.p for the same reasons.
    Anybody got any cosmoline?

    JODY COMMANDER:

This is an old joke, but your post made me remember it.

The comedian is talking to the audience and says "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN --- Dolly Parton is in our audience tonite !!!!!"

"Well, wait a minute ---- I was mistaken ---- it's 2 bald headed men sitting together!"

Now this has nothing to do with the "two favorites" post; my two favorites are my trusty old M-14, and my P-85 9mm Ruger.

Only 2? Dang that is hard! But if it were for survival purposes, I guess I would grab my Remington 270 and then ene of my Taurus mdl 85's. Or maybe one of my 870's and old .22 revolver that is a hoot to shoot. But then again, my S&W CS-9 and Marlin 30-30 wouldn't be bad either. On the other hand, I could grab my "new" old Mosin and my Savage Striker in 308. Or just maybe.... Dang, you sure ONLY two? That is too hard!

Being's I have no idea why I can only have two I guess I'll keep my military model 12 Winchester riot gun with 20 " barrel and my scoped model 63 Winchester 22 because they are my favorites. Of course everybody know's that you can't kill anything with a 22.

Ruger M77 MKII .338 Win Mag, and Ruger SRH 454 Casull. As Tim Allen says 'More Power ooohhhh, oooohhhhh, ooooohhhh, ooooohhhhh, oooohhhhh.' What more can you ask for? .338 with a Barnes Bullet from 160gr. on up to whatever, and the 454 downloaded or loaded to the max, pretty much covers it...well.... then again.

A tough choice to make. To be on the safe side probably my Winchester Model 70 30-06 and Ruger Blackhawk Convertable .38,.357/9mm. If I had to grab two in a hurry on the way to the mountains my choice would be the M-1 Garand and Ruger P-89.

Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.

I would keep my Kel-Tec 9mm for anything closer than 20 feet, and my Bushmaster AR-15 for anything else. The Kel-Tec fits under a pillow, while the AR does not.
