Missouri's is - "Salus populi suprema lex esto " - The welfare of the people shall be the supreme law."
To that, I fall back on the State Slogan - "Show Me!"[;)]

"In God We Trust" was adopted as the official state motto in the 2006 Florida Legislative Session by the enactment of Chapter 2006-282, Laws of Florida. You can read the law online by visiting the Florida Department of State website at http://election.dos.state.fl.us/laws/06laws/ch_2006-282.pdf.
When I first read it, this is what I saw.

A few years back we (the taxpayers) paid a consulting firm upwards of $500,000 for a new State "Brand" at the request of our current Governor Ruth Ann Minner. So, what did we get ?

and as far as I understand it's being changed to:
"Californians, Texans and Mexicans - go home"
