This may have been posted before, I don't know. Just got it in an email and found it very interesting.

[url] This is one of the most troubling videos currently on youtube. Notice that all comments on this video are prohibited by youtube. The last thing we want to do is OFFEND anyone. I would call this a wake up call but apparently we have over slept and our time has passed!! Like my mother would say; "I am glad that I am as old as I am because I don't want to see what will happen to my country." This isn't doom and gloom, this is reality.

    From an Article on MSnbc.

quote:On Friday, the federal government announced that 663,000 Americans lost their jobs in March. What's truly unsettling in America's new era of gloom and dead ends is wondering how many of those 663,000 might be deeply, irrevocably angry about it - and might have a gun.

My aunt came over yesterday and tolled me that one of her firstgrade students tolled her that tommorrow WW3 would start and America would lose. The next day on Sep. 11 the planes crashed into WTC and the Pentagon, and that little kid did not show up for school that day, and his family left town.

Only 53% of American adults believe capitalism is better than socialism.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 20% disagree and say socialism is better. Twenty-seven percent (27%) are not sure which is better.

Adults under 30 are essentially evenly divided: 37% prefer capitalism, 33% socialism, and 30% are undecided. Thirty-somethings are a bit more supportive of the free-enterprise approach with 49% for capitalism and 26% for socialism. Adults over 40 strongly favor capitalism, and just 13% of those older Americans believe socialism is better.

Investors by a 5-to-1 margin choose capitalism. As for those who do not invest, 40% say capitalism is better while 25% prefer socialism.

There is a partisan gap as well. Republicans - by an 11-to-1 margin - favor capitalism. Democrats are much more closely divided: Just 39% say capitalism is better while 30% prefer socialism. As for those not affiliated with either major political party, 48% say capitalism is best, and 21% opt for socialism.

(Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls.) Rasmussen Reports updates also available on Twitter.

The question posed by Rasmussen Reports did not define either capitalism or socialism

It is interesting to compare the new results to an earlier survey in which 70% of Americans prefer a free-market economy. The fact that a "free-market economy" attracts substantially more support than "capitalism" may suggest some skepticism about whether capitalism in the United States today relies on free markets.

Other survey data supports that notion. Rather than seeing large corporations as committed to free markets, two-out-of-three Americans believe that big government and big business often work together in ways that hurt consumers and investors.

Fifteen percent (15%) of Americans say they prefer a government-managed economy, similar to the 20% support for socialism. Just 14% believe the federal government would do a better job running auto companies, and even fewer believe government would do a better job running financial firms.

Most Americans today hold views that can generally be defined as populist while only seven percent (7%) share the elitist views of the Political Class.

Try this: We are feeding an abandoned cat, so we can trap her and get her to the shelter. I checked the porch at 7 to see that her bowl was empty from the 6:00 feeding. I got a scoop of food, saying the bowl was already empty. As I came back with the scoop, I got, "Was her bowl empty?" having already forgotten I had told her.

Roses, if you are going to double does, sorry it was not better drugs...[:p]

Not exactly that, but when I commuted 50 miles one way I listened to Chinese CD's on the way, and a couple of times I couldn't recall neither driving nor listening to chinese. Switched to talk radio after that. Well, there was that one time I had a few drinks at a dive around the corner and I had no clue in the morning where I was all night the night before or how I got home and so on, does that count?

I've done what russian did...but without the chinese.

I remember leaving college one weekend...then I realize I'm home...3 hours away from where I started and didn't remember driving at all. No drugs or alcohol...just got in, turned the key then turning the key and getting out...180 miles away through West Virginia back roads.

Not with tylenol but one day after an out patient surgery I woke up and found only half of the prescribed pain killers. I only remembered taking 2 . . .
