You will want to get an idea of the competition. Here's a search for "Remington Smoot" now at auction:

Once you sign up on the Auction side of GB you can search completed sales. Click on the "Advanced" next to the search box. Click on "Completed". Enter some search terms. Here's what comes up today:

Sort it by number of bids, most bids first. Then click on individual auctions to see if the gun actually sold. That will tell you what they are going for, not just what was asked or how high bids went on unsold guns.
