JUST THINK IF SOME ONE IN WASHINGTON HAD A BRAIN AN DECIDED TO MAKE SOME MONEY AN SELL ALL THE OUT DATED ARMS THAT IS IN GOVT WAREHOUSE'S Just think if some one in Washington had a brain an decided to make some money an sell all the out dated arms that is in govt warehouse's around the united states. That they had been hoarding since the civil war. Within less than 1 year we would have no national debt. Reason I know this would work is had an uncle who worked in an armory who said that thee stock pile would make a collector cry. We could only hope for the best an that the govt does not destroy all the items.

    Nonsense.

Let's the fed had 50 million BARs (M1918s) and could sell them for $ 20,000.00 each.

That would only be one trillion dollars.

There nothing close to that lieing around.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

Most of the old small arms were/are:

    1) Sold off long ago: Trap-Door Springfields, Krags and M1917 Enfields

    2) Given away to allies or supposed allies: M1903s, M1 Rifles, Carbines and M14s

    3) Sent back to the USA and sold through the CMP: M1903s, M1s and Carbines.

    4) Are unavailable for civilian sales: M16s and machineguns of all types.

    5) Already reimported and sold: Blue Sky M1s and Carbines.

    6) Left overseas where they were destroyed or dumped into the ocean.

    7) Are now in the hands of governments which are no longer friendly such as Vietnam and Iran: M1s and Carbines.

    8) Remain in storage for the Reserves, the National Guard, drill use as well as things like funerals for veterans groups.

    9) Are beign held by governments like South Korea who are looking to sell them back to us: M1s and Carbines.

    10) Were declared surplus and destroyed by the Army: Capt. Crunch.

If there are billions, much less trillions of $$$ worth of old military firearms just languishing around US military depots it would be an amazing find. Keep in mind that the US Army has been hard pressed to find enough M14 Rifles for issue due a huge portion of the production run being sent overseas to nations which have no intention of ever giving them back.

The gun lobby is looking the other way on selling foreign surplus arms here because the formal knowledge of gun making is easier to acquire to sell new weapons in The USA.

Of course the cost will be higher for the firearms plus the profits too!

The U.N. can manipulate foreign countries to destroy old firearms easier too! We The People are being hoodwinked once again. Follow the money as usual! [:o)]
