Ratcheting Joist Brace

Designed to bore holes for conduit or other piping.
Notice the detatchabe palm rest - flat on one side so you can get flush with the subflooring.
This one is about 50 years old.

Used to have a corner brace, much like this one, but I sold it to a collector - who just had to have it!!! [;)]

    Ohh,.......now I see the truth!
Yesterday you were just playing a game to see if anyone could figure out about your pre vice grip tool that you already knew all about.[:0][;)]

This one was a no brainer as evidenced by BTDT answering it correctly.[:X]

Just a shorten version of a brace drill. The ones I have, already have the ratcheting feature.

Not used anymore, because it takes to much time.

Marc, the only thing I knew about the Lock Line, was that they work very, very well. I do appreciate the link! [^]

...Love those old tools. My maternal grandfather was a blacksmith. He died when I was one, so I never knew him. My mom has a trunk full of his tools, that I'm supposed to get out of her basement. There are some real whatsits in there. If he didn't have the right tool, he made one.
