I know this really doesnt belong here but I will get a quicker response. Why is 45 acp so expensive?

    Had the misfortune of helping a neighbor put down his favorite mare using a 9MM full jacketed cartridge. 2 days later he asked me to put a couple of holes in her belly as it was swelling pretty good. Went to my CZ97B and placed about 5 rounds of hollow points. Had one shell left and shot from about 25 feet and the bullet went clean through the carcus and kicked up dust after exiting. The diference was the last shot was not a hollow point Any comments??

    Also, I put this on the expert forum.

    Another dumb question.

    When boar hunting is a 45acp of any value as a backup. If I cannot find commercial ammo that is adaquate, I am thinking of trading a for either a 357 or 44 mag revolver.

    Even the 357 is a little on the light side?
