I had a 1974 long cab, long bed, two wheel drive Dodge. Not saying it compares to the one you're talking about.

I lost count of how many shovels I wore out digging that pig out of the woods. I kept it for fourteen years. by the time I got rid of it I hated that thing with a purple passion.

When I got orders to Adak I decided I was going to need a better truck. I bought a 1987 Chevrolet standard cab, long bed 4WD. God, I loved that truck. I only kept it for seventeen years. Don't really know why I got rid of it.

After I bought the Chevrolet I thought I would sell the Dodge. I wound up having trouble giving it away. Finally gave it to Good Will.

After I bought the 2003 Chevrolet I didn't drive the 1987 much, and one of the neighbors stopped by and asked if I wanted to sell it. He runs a sawmill and logging outfit and said his work truck was stuck in the woods and wasn't worth dragging it out. The 1987 was just taking up space, so I let him have it.

That old truck is still jumping puddles in the woods and working hard. I don't do that kind of stuff anymore.

I ran into him at the gas station about a month ago. He had done a complete restoration on the old Chevrolet. I almost didn't recognize it. He said he was thinking about retiring it and just driving it to Church on Sundays.

That Is the way they ought to build them. Wonder why they don't?

Mine was similar to this one, 'cept 79, poopknuckle brown with an 8' bed.

You have an extra space in the URL. This one works:

Dear Lord, that's a pretty truck.

In 1978, my Grampa called me and asked if I wanted to go with him to Fort Lupton to deliver a brand-new XLT like that one, except it was a short box. Orange, I think. One of the best road trips I ever took.

I did not open the link as soon as I saw that it was a PHP file.

Any who's. A mine I worked at had three stretched six door, 12 passenger Ford F350's. They used them to carry guys to their job sites and back at shift changes.

Some company out of Montana custom built them for the mine. If I am thinking correctly.
