I have been looking at S&W 44 revolvers recently. I am trying to decide between a 629 or a 29. The 629 I am looking at has the full lug under the barrel. Both are priced right,...but I just can't decide which model to buy. I have always been a semi-auto guy so this is all new to me.
Which model do you S&W revolver guys prefer?

The 629 being stainless, will last and last.
Have 600 in it:
If your interested could do a private auction for you.
Why people lay them on rocks to take pics I will never understand?
Why do people feel the need to ask why people lay them on rocks?

Blue and wood for the win

My preference as well.
629 for sure.
BTW....what bbl. length you thinkin?
the 29 is Nickle with a 6" barrel
the 629 has a 8 3/8"? barrel. The balance was fantastic
a 629 classic that had the round butt K frame grip. Came with
both rubber and grooved wood grips which fit my hand better.
Took a couple of deer and my moose with it, lots of fun and
very potent. I don't know if they made a blued classic with the
k frame grip.
