Is it legal? Every time "hunting university" comes on TV. They show Dirt king shooting a big Tex. Buck with what has to be a "tracer round".It's lit-up from the muzzle to the deer, like a "limanok" but it's out of his rifle.

A self luminated nok(spelling?) for arrows and crossbow bolts.
When you release, the action causes the nok to light so you can find the arrow/bolt if it missed, passed through or remained in the target as it ran off.

Only tracers I have ever seen are FMJ and are usually illegal for hunting. It might be computer generated effects.

I didn't recognize the word either.

Late at night, I guess.

Take into consideration what you see on those 'hunting' shows is inside a cage, does it really matter?

If I wanted your opinion, I would've given it to you !

I shoot tracers on Independence Day and New Years Eve.

That reminds me, I need to figger out where I've got them.

I think the Woman who shall remain nameless will get a kick out of them.

Hunting with tracers is a bad idea. The intended target will see it coming and get out of the way.

These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. 1 Peter 1:7

Use to shoot the titaniumn starbursts into the canyon wall at night.

Kinda looked like a big stick welder cranked up.

1. I've never seen any regs in Indiana or Ohio about using tracer rounds for hunting. They might be there, but I don't have tracers anymore, so I'm not really concerned.

2. Why would they be illegal for hunting? is it for the children?

3. Tracers only start fires when it's very dry and they don't bury themselves in the dirt.

If there is anything combustible where the bullets end up, they WILL start a fire (unless it is raining).

In my state, those who shoot tracers get a new first name---"Inmate".
