I bought a complete upper from the auction side and wonder if this setup requires any special buffer tube assembly.

Thanks guys,

Nope. Just different mags if you want to fully load em.

The 7.62x39 runs lower pressure than .223 and usually has the proper sized gas port to compensate for this lower port pressure. From my experience, nothing needs changed on the lower except magazines.

Good news guys and thanks again. Even better news for Jeff was in going into my parts storage drawers to get the lower I found a new in unopened package bump fire stock. I've had it so long that I forgot about it.

The nice thing with the 7.62-39 is that it has virtually the same ballistics as a 30-30. So it would make a good brush gun for deer in an AR-15 configuration. You would just have to make sure you get mags with legal capacity and ammo For deer for it

I have a PSA 7.62x39 and it is very accurate.I don't know if they all are or I just got lucky.I put an old Leupold on it and it is probably the only rifle I have ever owned that if you click the scope one click,it actually moves the bullet impact 1/4 inch.
