I was talking to a friend of mine about politics..

She has been a friend of mine for quite a while, going on 8 years now.

Anyway, we we're talking about the election and she asked what my views on the candidates were. I told her and she emailed me an odd response. To show even most of it would take to long to read, but this snippet sums it up:

"Well, let me say this, I voted yesterday. It doesn't matter who I voted for. I wouldn't feel good about anybody I voted for. The whole thing makes me feel sick, physically sick. It's like I'm going to have a panic attack right here at work. I'm afraid of Bush's stance, I'm afraid of Kerry's, too."

I can't for the life of me understand why people do this. I honestly can't. WTH would make someone who is generally smart react in such a way? Why do people insist on being terrified?

Just to clarify, she said later in the email that she voted for Kerry. Hence my confusion...

There are other candidates out there, if she feels that bad about it, why not pick one that she is not so afraid of?

Perhaps she feels that way because she is intelligent enough to realize BOTH these men don't give a damn about America...
    They want only power.

    Amen.

Besides..here in Oklahoma I only have the choice of these two morally bankrupt individuals. There ARE no third party candidates on the ballot.
