That is what my son graduated from SIU.
He also received an Honors Program diploma medal, the highest possible, and a gold rope for grade point average.
Very proud parents here.
He worked his * off to earn these accolades.
Were ready for his next adventure of Graduate school and Project Manager Internship at the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.

Congrats to him and Mom and Dad!
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

Congratulations - you have the right to be proud...

Makenzie made dean's list for both of her 1st semesters at Penn state University and was student of the month in the nursing the
    Degree track program...

She got free commissary - cafeteria privileges for 2 months and an extra 2 $500.00 grants redeemable at the campus store...

She used some of it on books but most of it on clothing (when we got her she only had the clothes on her back).

It's a nice recognition of her academic work and she can use the clothing (she bought a lot of clearance or closeout school branded clothes) and she ate quite well on the schools dime for 2 months...

This also qualifies her for internship opportunities or to be a teachers aid / assistant (paid in both scenarios)

Great news - be proud - thanks for sharing.

    Mike

    Congrats to Makenzie!
You guys should be proud also!
Sounds like she is on the right track.

Both of you folks should be really proud of the youngsters- those are achievements worthy of bragging about.

Those are also things that stay on your resume long after you graduated. And if no one has said this- you should be proud of yourselves. Ya done good with the youngsters.

Great start to a bright future. The "worked his * off" part will stand him as well as the education.

    Good Job to All!!

Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.
