Here is a pic of a guy who got five stitches from slide bite [:(][B)][:0][img][/img]
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

No stitches but it was a lesson to remember.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Don't cross your thumbs!
That would be my bet, too.
If not it must've been a Walther PP. [:D]
M1 Thumb?[:D]
Please tell me that isn't the case for a left thumb?[B)][B)]
Proof that at least someone on the forums goes shooting once in a while!
I'm resorting to rubber band guns. Its the only thing I can find ammo for.
Heal fast,heal well,,[:)][:)]

What was he shooting?
He was shooting a Taurus slim 40.Thing is he was just instructed on the proper hold, plus demonstrated for him,and told what would happen if thumb was in the wrong place.Painful lesson learned.Ouch!

Better think again... I heard that rubber bands were gonna be in short supply.
The gub'ment figured out we had rubber band guns and they're issuing requisitions to purchase 63 billion rubber bands.
Better stock up soon...
A lacerated thumb and a really bad flinch. [:0][:D]

Regardless of instruction, there are those that only learn by way of onhand training. Certainly a lesson learned and will not be quickly forgotten.

But, but, but....I saw on Youtube that there was "nothing dangerous" about holding the slide on an auto when shooting?
Talking about dumb videos like this one (though he does have some written warnings over the video) Less than a minute video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upoYtPS_5QQ
People need to understand that once the barrel and slide unlocks and the slide has momentum, it's got some energy where it can do some damage.
