"Eight years ago I was getting my * shot..."

Yesterday on the Senate floor that horse's * Chuck Schumer announced further delays in voting on Trump nominees. Tom Cotton (junior Senator from Arkansas) got in his face and demanded to know why he was breaking his promise of fast votes. He pointed out that eight years ago Obama's nominees were all confirmed in the first week.

Schumer's response was to say "You weren't even here eight years ago. Where were you eight years ago?"

"Eight years ago I was getting my * shot at in Afghanistan."

Cotton said this with a couple finger jabs to Schumer's chest.

I believe Cotton is still a captain in the Army Reserve and was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart for his service in Afghanistan while Schumer was in DC damaging America. Cotton is absolutely fearless and doesn't make political deals out of expediency. I will vote for him for any office he seeks.

    Cotton is the man!!! I voted for him, I'm damned proud of it. He seems to tell it like I like it.

    I also was going to post this, as I believe that those who had not heard it, needed to.

    It was one of the best call outs EVER on the Senate floor.

    Schumer asked Cotton to lower his voice and take the discussion off the floor. Oh sorry you are getting your A** chewed and are embarrassed about it Chuck. Maybe you can keep your word?

    In addition to Tom Cotton telling Chuck Schumer, "Eight years ago, I was getting my A** shot at in Afghanistan, don't talk to me about where was I, 8 years ago."

    I would have paid $$ to have observed this well deserved A** chewing first hand.

    Sen Cotton hails from just across the river from where my home is. He is a native of Yell County (yes the same Yell County we remember from True Grit fame).

    Nice to know we have some younger guys who refuse to take crap from lifelong career politicians.

    Chuck Schumer is a fool and should check his facts. Mr Schumer's history is tainted and he should shut his pie hole when going up against our vets in the congress who know his muckraking tacktic.
