Polish Mauser Wz 29 8mm Short Rifle. Looks all correct. But….
Has a CZ receiver and Bolt No Crest on Receiver. Hum?
Everything else is correct Sights, and stock (numbered inside matching to bolt)
I'm a bit puzzled, as to the CZ aspect. Can't find any signs of rebuilding.
Bore is Good a bit dark. (needs cleaned,) stock has a couple of Arsenal repairs.
Guy wants to trade not sure where to go. Wants to trade for a New Ruger AR. Not sure I want to take not knowing if is going to be worth it.

CZ started building Mausers before WW2 and after the occupation were forced to continue by the Germans. I would imagine that this what you have. CZ exported to and then licensed Poland to make the VZ 24 and it was renamed the WZ 29. Could be you have one of the CZ exports. If you like it go for it. The prices on GB for the WZ29 sure seem higher than the Ruger AR. Bob
Just can't find anything in my many Mauser reference books that Poland used CZ Actions for the Wz29. That's what throws me.
It's interesting enough, I may may go for it. I like Mauser's, the stranger the better.
Ok. This is a post about guns.
I thought it was about cats from Poland. I heard they were hell on mice! I need one!
I would remove the wood & check the proofmarks, proofmarks dont lie.
I thought it would be about a gun that had the muzzle pointed back at the operator….
Na, the trigger is just turned 180 degrees
Considering that Poland has shown far better judgement on letting sand rats into their country and how stupid the Germans have been on immigration I would say we need to be making dumb Kraut jokes at this point cuz the Poles seem to be the smarter Europeans today
May I suggest you ask at K98k.com on what is correct for this. If I was considering this gun that is where I would seek advice

Possibly rifle was scrubbed and sold to Spain for use in the Spanish Civil War. Poland didn't want anyone know they were exporting weapons.
A WZ-29 scrubbed, went to Spain, but I've never seen one with a CZ receiver either. I wonder if it's not a VZ-24 that went to a Chinese or Romanian contract?
