The French President has vowed to rebuild in 5 years. However, it shouldn't take that long. Trump would have it finished in less than 3 years.
Good news: Close to a Billion Dollars has been donated to rebuilding the Cathedral by wealthy private French rich businessmen, (there could be a woman in there?)
Breitbart had the best pictures in one place with accompanying story. Put on a new roof, rebuild the spire, a little paint and good as new.

Church needs to have a charcoal sale to help with the cleanup. Holy Charcoal,, what's that worth to someone who wants a remembrance of the church. PRICELESS.

-
Many artifacts were removed and saved from the fire.
-
Looks like most of the structure and the flying buttresses didn't burn,, maybe because they were made of rock.
-
Appears the stained glass windows on the main portion of the building are intact.
-
Statues appear to be undamaged, a little "elbow grease" and they'll be as good as new.

I may be a man of little faith, but something like that might be quite inspiring.

I can only hope that the structure can be saved and will last another 800 years.
Was this an insurance scam? Being that "many artifacts were removed and saved from the fire.".
It is my understanding that the artifacts were removed for the remodeling that was being done.

Many of the artifacts were removed after the fire started. This is a "video" that talks about the artifacts and what was removed. Amazingly the Cathedrals huge organ was untouched.

But,but The New E.U. French Constitution has taken God out of it's preamble yet politicians line up to foster it's rebuilding of the Temple,Church. It's all a dog and pony show for masses.

The French constitution is an example of absolute laicism, a political system which excludes any ecclesiastical influence or control.
"Freedom, equality and brotherliness" represent the collective ideal of the French people. There is no God involved in the preamble of the statute. The first Article explains that "France is an undividable, secular, democratic and social republic."
The people have it covered and would resent him even more if he tried to HELP with the cathedral repair and renovation.
The Cathedral is government property. It's been their property since 1905. The Catholic church only provides funds towards maintaining it.
It's then just an Icon of the past and the government had disavowed its spiritual significance and only uses it as a rallying cause to pacify the public. Everyone knows the government is a sham anyway.

In fact the remaining structure may not be as stable as first though, even stone can be damaged by prolonged heat. That assessment alone will take some time.
Whether or not Notre Dame is a sacred place, it has been a piece of great architecture for over 800 years, built between the 1160's and 1250. It also attracted 13,000,000 million visitors yearly, making it an economic asset to France as well as a historical treasure.
Ownership
Under the 1905 law on the separation of Church and State, Notre-Dame de Paris is one of 70 churches in Paris built before that year which are owned by the French state. While the building itself is owned by the state, the Catholic Church is the designated beneficiary, having the exclusive right to use it for religious purposes in perpetuity. The archdiocese is responsible for paying the employees, for security, heating and cleaning, and for ensuring that the cathedral is open free to visitors. The archdiocese does not receive subsidies from the French state.[73]

Frozen conceptions of architectures in stones built by mankind to reflect the creator but still the cornerstone was rejected in the heart's of man,A simple altar in the wilderness would suffice.
