I need a set for Travis' 1993 Chevrolet pickup. That's what he said he wants for Christmas.

So, if any of you is tire savvy, point me at the best possible deal.

I usually buy off of Tire Rack, but right now ... I hate to say it, Wallie World has them for $55/tire. You can't beat it with a stick.

They are no cheaper than Discount, and I would still have to pay for shipping.

when i worked at wally world(cringe...glad to be out of there) we used to call other stores for merchandise transfers. its an interstore call and we used to have them from other stores within 24 hours. dont know if there is other walmarts close but you might check and see how soon they can get them. also i used to go to local tire place and say i can get these for such and such at walmart, they would give me a quote beating them, and i would then go to w-m and say look at what i can get else where. they would then beat their competitor, i think all they do now is match prices tho.[:(]

The first replacement set of tires I put on my HHR last year were ordered through Sam's Club. They had to special order the Michelin HydroEdge tires in my size but only took a week to arrive. They beat the other prices I was quoted around here by at least 70 bucks for the set.The cost for mounting was 10 bucks a tire with lifetime rotation and rebalance.I am very happy with them so far.Do you have a Sam's Club near you?

Do you belong to Costco or know someone who does? The best thing about Costco is the cost of mounting, lifetime balance and rotation, road hazard, stems, are all included in the price. And they have great customer service. I bought tires there new and then had all four of them slashed through the sidewalls and they replaced them free! I had tires from WMT one time and had a stick go through the sidewall a few days after buying them and had bought there road hazard and they would not replace it! I think they have a buy three get fouth free thing going on right now

No Sam's, no Costco nearby. Options are Discount Tire & Wheel, Wal*Mart, or a few locally owned shops.

When I lived in Houston, Discount tire would match the tire rack price. They also would fix your flats for free. I took my vette in there once and they removed and reinstalled the tire by hand and even used a torque wrench. They would get my business.

    2nd or 3rd-ing Tire rack.

My Buddy used to own a 4 wheel drive truck shop and I would get goodies @ cost. Even he could not beat Tirerack prices.

I can't beleive wallyworld had tire rack beat by $4 per tire. Tire rack always has the best deals around for all the tires I've ever needed.

BTW, tirerack shipping is amazingly cheap and fast, usually about $25-$40 for 4 tires shipped and arrive within 2 days.

Went to Wal*Mart today, and they had seven in stock. Bought four and had them put on Trav's truck. Best tire deal I have gotten in a while.
