Dallas Police says that Terrell Owens attempted to commit suicide!!

Here's the report, but who knows if it is correct or not. There is also a report that he was sent to the hospital for a reaction to pain medication. One story is wrong, but which one? It is out on the wire services.

he took 5 vicodin...brett farve used to take that many for an appetizer...hardley a suicide attempt...more like a cry for attention

Um Scott, I think the report said that he had only taken five before this incident - out of forty. That would mean up to thirty five in this instance.

I've got a friend who has attempted suicide at least twice (that I know of). He's a great guy, but he's a bit of a drama queen. When he goes to "commit" suicide, he always does it in the parking lot in front of the E/R. He's an honorably discharged navy medic who was in Desert Storm and suffers from PTSD. He was an EMT for several years as a civilian. He 100% knows exactly what will happen every time he tries to commit suicide in front of the E/R -- that he won't succeed.

I respect him for his service to our country. Like I said, he's a great guy, but his suicide attempts are nothing more than cries for attention when he's depressed.

IMO, people that attempt suicide and can't succeed do so because they're not really trying to kill themselves. They want attention.

TO is a waste of everything. the media shouldnt even cover this guy and give him what he wants...attention. he doesnt deserve any attention at all. but if he really tried to kill himself then get ready for 3 years of non stop tv shows about him and his feelings and the "pressures" of making $20 million a year.

I have little sympathy for those that FAIL at committing suicide. If you can't even kill yourself correctly, how can you be trusted to do anything else right?

Does he have AIDS?? Most men who want to commit suicide succeed. Women and drama queens usually fail....Pretty sure he's not a woman so I second the whole "drama queen" aspect. Beach

he swears it was all a big misunderstanding...he did not take 35 pills did not have his stomach pumped and did not tell police he intended to harm himself...the trainer, dietician and dr are backing him up. Coaches are waiting to decide if he will play sunday
