All In A Day's Work

I am a biologist for a firm that does a lot of wetland surveys for developers, oil and gas clients, pipelines, etc. I have alot of work by myself in isolated places in the SE US which I really enjoy. I was in the process of finishing up my day's work today and was mapping a point along a wooded creek when I ran across a fresh deer carcass. Thinking poachers, and that they still may be close by, I called a game warden buddy of mine to advise him of what I had seen. He told me that they had a bust at that same location last night, and had arrested three subjects not only with poaching charges, but also possession of methamphetamines with intent to deliver. There's an old house place there and I noticed some gas canisters that look like acetylene bottles or scuba tanks. He said that they caught all but one of the subjects, but that one of them got away. Now here I am back in the woods way off the road. I do have a CCW and the 9mm in the pack with me that once I find out what went on down there last night and that all but one had been caught, I immediately retrieve out of the pack and make a little less concealed.

I took some photos of the deer carcass to be used as evidence, if needed. However, the warden friend of mine told me that the DA will not be too interested in the deer issue since they have them on drug possession charges.

Come to find out, one of these subjects got out of the joint last week !! Rehabilitated, huh?

Looks like the Republicans didn't stand behind her when they tossed her out of the frying pan into the fire...

This old gal aligned herself with the Republicans when it became a popular thing to do back in 1984. She is far from conservative, and has supported liberal candidates and agendas, prompting the local party to withdraw support.

The reason I posted the URL was so you can see GPD's work. It is the first time I have seen any of our stuff on the net.The second officer mentioned is one that I helped to train.
