Last night at 3:35 am the phone rang. It was the hospital telling us my Grandfather (83) had taken a turn for the worse. He's in a coma now, prognosis uncertain. This is the second time this year he has slipped into a coma.If everything doesn't work out, I won't be around for awhile.

    It doesn't look good. He has encepholitis (spelling?) a brain infection, and has had several strokes in the last few days. He hasn't been consious in 5 days. Tomarrow, as per his living will, if he shows no response, and after a final consultation of his kids and the doctors, they pull the plug. God be with him.

    Jonk, sometimes it is just time to go. Grandpa knows it, and he is probably ready, having a Living Will and all. Now it is just up to the rest of you to accept it.God grant you grace to accept what is to come.Passing from this world is as much a part of life as coming into it.
