I have an older S&W 60. I like the size of it and am considering a Trigger Job as it current has a gritty, heavy double auction pull. Anyone had a good experience with a qualified smith out there ?Thanks for the imput....

William - Don't know how much of a smithy you are but a friend of mine used to routinely smooth and lighten the trigger pull on his and my new Smith's. If you'd like, e-mail me at nbilly@yahoo.com and I can give you more details. I am not a smith in ANY sense of the word butI'd be glad to tell you what he did on those revolvers.

Before you go to whittling, try this.Open and CLEAN the action. I have seen many new Smiths with metal chips in the works.Lubricate the high friction areas with a good light grease. Brownell's Action Magic is a good one.Maybe add a spring kit from Wolff or Bullseye.Keep in mind that a J-frame will never have the action of the larger revolvers.
