I Wanted To Hit This Man In The Throat

I was at the pharmacy yesterday waiting to be waited on and this man came in and started telling the ladies that he wrecked his hot dog cart.

He has a pull behind hot dog trailer and goes to several places and sells hot dogs for a living.

He told the ladies that his trailer jackknifed and went in the other lane and hit a pickup truck head on.

He then complained about how much it cost to fix his trailer and how it took them 5 days to fix it.

The lady at the counter asked how the person was in the truck and he said he was thrown through the window and died. He then said that it was his fault because he did not have a seat belt on.

All he complained about was his hot dog stand being messed up and the cost. He never showed any sorrow for the person he killed.

I just wanted to hit him in his throat so bad. I was shaking because i wanted to confront him.

I do not believe in suing but i hope he losses everything he has just because he showed no remorse.[V][V]

No excuse intended, but an observation...

You, sir, because of circumstances and bitter experience have reason to appreciate the value of life. If there be a silver lining in what you've gone through it might be empathy for your fellow man and life itself.

A hotdog cart and a week lost versus a human life? I can only hope there is a final accounting as we exit this world. I have enough to answer for myself but I wouldn't wish to explain the value of a hotdog cart versus a human life.

Sounds like BS to me those carts aren't long enough to jack knife and end up in the oncoming lane, unless he was maybe straddling the center line.

Do not understand why he would be telling the Pharmacy people about a hot dog cart.I'm sure(hopefully) I am missing part of this story.

probably not enough tongue weight and it got to thrashing about and broke loose. I've seen it happen on small trailers a fair amount. Hopefully the victims family will retain adequate representation and get him for vehicular homicide.

While his callous attitude is deplorable, he was correct about the seat belt. Oscar is probably liable for the death and will have to pay up eventually, but the * would still be alive had he utilized his safety equipment.
We laugh at idiots that shoot themselves in the foot because they ignore basic safety. This isn't much different.

How many more people have to die before those foot long hot dogs and the extended length trailers needed to transport them are finally outlawed? (Add green font for those in the GB core group and underwent the gang's mandatory inoculation against HISS: Humor, Irony, Satire and Sarcasm).

That guys is going to have to sell a LOT of wieners to cover the civil lawsuit heading his way.

"I just wanted to hit him in his throat so bad. I was shaking because i wanted to confront him."

That kind of anger will eat you alive.....and if you confronted him, what authority do you hold that allows you to pass judgment and punish him.......we have all done or said things that we regret later.

Not trying to rattle your chain too much, but you need to chill out and focus on your own life and not be ready to "punch someone in the throat" and "confront them" No one's life was in danger, the guy is a smuck...

People like him will always be around......killing yourself with anger when you cross paths with one will only shorten your life.

Well, the hot dog cart was his livelihood so it was very important to him.

The other driver SHOULD have been wearing his seatbelt. He'd be alive if he had.

The cart jack-knifed so something happened, like he hit something? No info on circumstances of crash. But the dead driver was obviously following too closely because he didn't avoid the crash. In fact, he hit hard enough to go through the windshield and die. No belt, tailgating, maybe speeding, he's contributing for sure.

Need more info to assign blame. But dead driver appears to have added to his own problems. Whatever happened, it was crude and insensitive to be whining about his misfortune (property damage) to strangers in light of the fatality.

The driver was coming from the other way. That is how i understood the conversation. He also said the trailer came loose from the truck.

Some people are just jerks. You can't fix that.

As long as they aren't hurting anything that matters, leave them alone.

I'm having a hard time getting my little bride to follow this advice. I keep telling her, "Sooner or later, you're going to cause me to have to kill someone!"
