Buyer Feedback

SmokeRossSmokeRoss Member Posts: 11
edited March 2015 in General Discussion
I have sold a few old lever guns recently. Deals have all gone smooth, except for one buyer who still has not left feedback for me. I have emailed him several times requesting he do that, but nothing so far. Can I twist his arm a little?

Forget about it. Rules don't require FB and some can't be bothered or flat out refuse. Move on. Not worth the effort to pester him.

Some people don't want others (like their wife) to know what they paid for a gun so they don't want feedback either way.

Beyond your sending him the emails pleading for feedback, there in nothing else you can do. I have about half the numbers of feedbacks that I should have...Oh well.

63 A+'s I think and only one seller hasn't left me feedback, but he was also slow to ship and forgot to send the box until I prodded him so I'm not surprised.

Most sellers leave feedback right after they have received my money and FFL, some seem to hold off until you leave them feedback so I would assume they reserve the right to retaliate.

Damm you complain about one feedback not being received on that other website I'm missing at least 400. But then again I could care less about feedback. It is not required to be left.

Our stats from the Last 90 days:

    Items Sold: 43
Items waiting for feedback from buyer: 26

I don't see why some people get all worked up about feedback. Most that do seem to have a very small number of transactions.

We have 693 feedbacks but I am guessing our total transactions on here are over a 1000(just a guess as we don't really keep track of it that way).

Well, he must have seen himself here. Haha. Positive feedback left for me. I know feedback isn't required, but it sure seems like a common courtesy to me. Thanks for the replies.

In ten years I have 141 A+ but I often email people if they want feedback from me to leave feedback but if they don't leave feedback I understand as being a hobby we may all not want to show off how much we buy and sell on a public forum.

If everyone left feedback i would have 250+. Same with Fleabay which I stopped selling when they went anti although I still buy something now and again so have around 250.

I have never had a negative feedback on any site but feel lucky as it seems logical a dipcrap would have snagged me by now

Boils down to about 20 - 30% of the time you will not receive feedback, might as well get used to it.

I have 24 items on my list of "awaiting feedback from others." I know there are A LOT more than that, because after a while, they drop off the bottom of the list.

I try to be conscientious about leaving feedback, but I don't get overly bothered if I don't receive it.

Now, I will be torqued off if I receive undeserved negative feedback, but Support has been very helpful when that has occurred. Such occurrences are very rare. I think I have had two.

Sounds like you have already twisted his arm by emailing him about it more than twice. I'd simply move on and forget about it. Who knows, he might be out of town and leave you feedback when he returns.
    What's next?

Keep bugging the guy and you might get some feedback.

Yup. Happened to me once. I sent him one reminder and then I let it drop. I'd rather have some missing feedback than one written by someone who was ticked off at being pestered by me. [;)]

I've never sold anything on GB but have bought several things. The only two sellers to leave feed back on me lately are forum members (thank you Woody and Zink).

Consequently I see no need to leave feed back for sellers that do not leave feedback on a buyer that paid fast and had no, or caused any, issues. As sellers it is their loss as feed back is much more important to them than it is to a buyer.

As a buyer, I agree with you Scout5. I get tired of sellers holding my feedback hostage before they'll post. I normally get it done as soon as I receive my item. I don't understand what takes some sellers so long.
On the other hand, I've had some sellers post for me even before they ship! Guess which one I prefer to deal with. [;)]

    I am mostly a seller.

Some of you disagree with me, but in my opinion, the buyer has done his part when he has paid for the item. I enter feedback when I am paid.
