I noticed that thread on the Ravens was locked.
It seemed like maybe you thought I was complaining about that Raven you sold me (I wasn't). It never had a problem with it until my fire when it inevitably melted. I need to post some pictures of what's left, we shot it with a 7mm Mag. My bud still has the remains. May she rest in peace.

No offense. The thread had just rocked along too long, with most people slamming the Raven. Fact is, that the Raven is a VERY reliable cheap pistol. I have proved it myself.

There is a certain snobbery among gun people. The knowledgeable ones disdain the cheap guns. But what about the person who can't afford a good gun? Or the person who only wants a bedside table gun and will not be shooting it?

I think people ought to be able to get what they want.

What I don't like is when a dealer will sell a cheap gun to a newbie, and charge him a good gun price. Case in point was a lady who showed up at my CPA (Citizen's Police Academy) class with a brand new Jennings 9mm. Still had the price tag on it. $199.99. She said by the time she bought the gun and ammo and holster, and paid the tax, she wrecked $300. At the time, I was selling VERY GOOD police trade in Smiths for under $150. When I traded into some Jennings 9mms, I sold them for $90. Cheap should be cheap, you should get what you pay for, and you shouldn't expect premium performance from a cheap device.

To reiterate: There was no offense taken, my friend.
