Less than $20 for five years. No course requirement, or any other simular nonsense.

The initial cost of Floridas CCW Permit is $117.00. Renewals are $75.00 every five-years. A Florida CCW Permit will allow you to carry a concealed weapon in six additional States: Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania. With only Two State-issued Permits, you can now legally carry a concealed firearm in 25 different States. This is great news for anyone that travels for business or leisure. And with the continuing efforts of a strong pro-rights lobby in Utah and Florida, the value of both permits is likely to increase as additional States agree to Reciprocity or Recognition.

Although Utah and Florida Permits are recognized in many other States, California recognizes neither Permit. It is the responsibility of the individual permit-holder to comply with all other States laws when traveling to States granting Reciprocity or Recognition.

A great source of information regarding State Firearms and CCW Laws is the Travelers Guide to the Firearms Laws of the Fifty States by J. Scott Kappas, Esq. Available from www.gunlawguide.com. Another fantastic website that provides a great deal of useful information regarding Concealed Carry Permits in any of the 50 States is www.packing.org, where you will find a summary of each States statutes, current reciprocity, access to each States issuing Authority, and links to individual State websites that can help answer any specific questions you may have.

Missouri is $100.00 for 3 years, if we ever get it out of the State Supreme Court. It is renewable at the end of 3 years for 'no more than 50.00'.

I think I pay $35 for 4 years in Ft. Wayne, Indiana -- no extra training is required -- the only effort in this shall-issue state is your letter to the chief of police stating you want a gun for "defense of myself." That reason is enough, so long as your background check is clear.

Washington State is $60 for the initial 5 year license, and $30 for each subsequent 5 year renewal... and NO training. The extra $30 for the initial license is for the fingerprinting.

In Texas it's $140 for 4 years, but they will reduce the rates for low income, judges, and retired police.

Flordia does not require training classes for every one.

Training documentation; eight different records can be accepted such as DD214, NRA/State training course, hunter safety, etc.

I sent my NRA Instructors card in lieu of training.

    Gotta disagree with 4 wheeler
In VA the General Assembly gave local jurisdictions a max of $50 for 5 years, no minimum and proof of sufficent safety training (mini of 2.5 hrs classroom) no shooting test at all. As you can see there is a great disparity in requirements from state to state to state on training and that is one of the reasons I don't see a nationwide CCW FORTHCOMING.

Oregon - 2 hour class (about $25), and, I think it's $40 for 4 years. I've had mine for about 18 years and just don't remember, for sure.

One more thing about Minnesota, When you do your paperwork for your CCW.... and you forget to dot an "i", or anything... The County will keep your money, deny you, your permit, make you do all NEW paperwork, and pay again[:(!]

It will hurt you, More than it will hurt me..

Michigan: $200 all together ($125 class fee, $15 fingerprinting, $8 passport photo, $65 file fee. ok so $213...) good for three years. Re-issue is $75 plus partial class fee I think, I'll find out this summer when I need a new one.

Michigan pistol buyers need a $5 purchase permit for each pistol, this is waved for CCW holders. I've saved $65 so far woo hoo!

I think it's funny how in VA the state regulates the CCW laws but not everyone pays the same fee for their license. Good for 4-wheeler if his was $15. I know where I'm at they've got it right at the max $50. Looks like we're cheaper than most, though, so I won't complain. Worth every penny.

I'm in Jackson county, the last time I had to buy a permit was 2.5 years ago and it was a $5 charge. Maybe it's changed, I dunno, I don't need the perchase permit with the CCW

Twenty some years as a LEO in Kalif = forever CCW by law. When I came to Idaho they wanted me to go through the same classes as civilians and pay the fees for a local CCW. I said no thanks, we didn't do that to retired LEO's from out of state, and I won't do it here.

Now we may move to another county, and we will see what the next county has to say.

    Concealed-Carry Permit: $(whatever)

    Required Safety Class: $(whatever)
