SKS Bullpup ... whatever happened to them?

A 4-5 years ago, ShotGun News used to have an ad for bullpup stocks for the SKS, I always thought it was a great idea with all the SKS's in this country ... always figured I'd wait until I saw one before I bought ... I made the mistake of buying one of K-VAR's AK bullpup kits ... it was a joke ... cool looking, and comfortable but if there is any way to make the triggers worse - that kit did it ... anyway, just wondering if anyone knew what happened to them ...
