Are these HK clones any good? Would you buy them? Have there been any reported problems? Maybe I should post this over on the experts board. Did I just think out loud? Oh no, I am talking to myself![:o)]

I think the Hesse and similar receiver clones are crap. I think the parts guns built up from them are crap. I think there's a reason why a SW "MP5" costs thousands less than a H&K 94; because SW makes crap.

Boomer: Yes, and a Bugatti replica built on a VW chassis is about as good as one can get since we can no longer get a real Typo 35.

Well I must say that was a cool old sports car even if it was made in France. The only problem iss there is no place for air bags and cup holders.[:o)]

I have the Sw45. It uses modified greasegun mags for it. The only complaint I have is extra mags for it. The one that came with the gun is flawless and I would stake my life on it. The others I sent back. I got one spare that is reasonable but still jams once in a while(1 out of 30). The factory mag has never never jammed. The gun itself is reliable and all the topside parts above the receiver are HK.

If I remember correctly the early cast stainless receiver ones are to be avoided. The newer ones are stamped receivers and supposed to be top notch. I guess the cast receivers suffered a myriad of problems.

I sold my real 94 and a few accessories and bought an early stainless cast receiver SW5 (HK-94 clone) and an SW3 stainless cast receiver (HK-91 clone) ... when it was all said and done I still had $1000 in my pocket and I never regretted it. I did sell the SW3 a year or so later when I built my own fluted heavy barrel 91 clone ... I to top it off I currently have an SW32 on order ... it shoots the 7.62X39, uses AK mags of which I already have a 10 of 20 rounders which will give it a more traditional look, as well as a slew of 30 rounders then if the AWB does set, I'll be putting a retractable stock on it!
