Anyone have experience with any of ISSC's products? They have some pistols and SCAR 'clone' rifle in 22lr pretty cheap that look like they'd be alot of fun, just wonder how the quality is on them.

They were sued by glock for similarities and forced to put hammers and safeties on

Yea, same deal as HK's lawsuit against GSG.

I saw this YouTube over on the SiG forum about it and bought one from them ... should be here next week [^]

Another member of SiG forum has one and says they are accurate and easy to strip/clean much like the real SCAR.

Lately there have been several rifles I'd like to get but with 15 223's already I haven't been able to justify yet another in .223, and don't want to get rid of any I have ... however a clone in 22LR for a fraction of the price I'll enduldge myself [^]

I picked mine SCAR clone up yesterday, well packed and it came with everything you need to shoot it including 3 allen wrenches and a chamber brush ... and there is storage in the pistol grip to keep them.

It seems very solid and well built, and weighs in around 6-7 pounds. I'm really not into rails and was hoping to remove the side rails but they have threaded sleeves that go into the aluminum chassis(like 1911 grip panels) so it would look a little funky to remove them.

It shoulders well and has a decent trigger for a 22 but I haven't gotten to shoot it yet ... the cheek riser is adjustable but seems nearly too tall even in the lowered position. Not that I'll use them but the sights are made of steel and seem to be of good quality and not quite as funky looking as in the stock photo. I like the ambidextrous charge-handle but wish it took the same mags as my SiG-522 ... there are a few subtle differences between the stock photo and the real thing, I think all for the better.

    kimberkid,
Thanks for the report. You might try the rail covers on the sides, not sure how it would look on there, but worth a shot anyway.

Be sure to give us a range report when you get a chance

I've got their M22 pistol, its really accurate, however the only thing that feeds 100% reliably right now are CCI Stingers. I'm thinkin it needs a polish job on the feed ramp.

    Nice looking gun.

Do you know what mags it takes? Is it proprietary or the same one the Colt/S&W use?

Not taking BDM's might be a killer for me.

Rough price on one of these?

I've read the mags are proprietary ... its not the same as used by my SiG-522, don't know about the Colt. Nice feature it has is the view slot is open and has a load assist thumb-grip thingy which makes it really easy to load [8D]

I bought it at kygunco.com, website said $449 but when I called them it was $429 after credit card fee and shipping it was $465

I had the chance to spend a couple hours at the range yesterday so I took the SCAR-22 and my piston converted AR ... on the bench shooting Remington bulk ammo from Wally-World at 50 yards with the Aimpoint I was very pleased ... this was the result of shooting a full mag.
