I believe you'd be able to get your spare parts.
Steyr is apparantly sold to a company, which has a passionate hunter as chairman/owner.
Larger companies who deals with weaps, will most likely have spareparts.

    The site http://www.gsifirearms.com/news-steyrsale.html tells us:

    Cura Investholding acquires Steyr Mannlicher

As per June 22, 2001 the Austrian company Cura Investholding GmbH acquired 100 % shares of Steyr Mannlicher AG & Co KG from Creditanstalt AG. The takeover of the company also involves Steyr Mannlicher's 51 % holding of Suhler Jagd- und Sportwaffen GmbH, Suhl/Germany.

Steyr Mannlicher products are known world-wide for their high quality, precision and innovation. In combination with the new management, these features will ensure its strong market position into the future.

In 2000 Steyr Mannlicher achieved sales of approx. Euro 16 Million and currently employs 135 persons.

Cura Investholding is located in Wiener Neustadt and specialises in reorganisation of medium-sized firms. Owner of Cura Investholding is Wolfgang F?rlinger who is himself a passionate hunter.

The new owner is planning to concentrate on the more profitable range of products in order to meet to market needs. The new marketing strategy will expand Steyr Mannlicher's market position especially in USA. Cooperations on the manufacturing sector, especially with the production plant in Suhl, will reduce production costs whole mainting quality.

If Steyr Mannlicher hopes to expand penetration of the US market, what have they got? The AUG and the Scout? Maybe some volume discounting is in order.

They also have the mod. 96 SBS in several configurations. It is an outstanding if not beautiful rifle.

    The US importer is:
    Dynamit Nobel - RWS Inc.
    81 Ruckman Road
    7624 Closter, New Jersey

    http://www.dnrws.com/

    As per their web site, they will only be importing;

    Classic Mannlicher

    Steyr ProHunter

    Steyr Scout

    Tactical Elite

SSG Sport (PI) & Police (PII)

I have heard rumor the military lines (AUG and variants) and pistols have been discontinued, however there are at least 2 licensed plants that will continue to produce the AUG contract weapons ... other lines will continue.
