He is looking to keep a solid grouping with his new gun on a dime at 1000 yards.
Most likely he will have to use at least a 62 gr .223 bullet to pull this off at 1,000 yards. If you have a better suggestion let me know which brand and gr.
Hes asking me about scopes that will group at 1000, and wants to know about front and rear sights that can solid group with in a dime at 800 yards.
I've never used an AR for hunting but it sounds like hes going to.
The question is. Does anyone know a good scope set up with fine crosshairs at 1000 yards? And a good front rear sight combo at 800 yards or more? Don't forget the ammo combo.
