Have any of you guys had ever had to use the fraud insurance on Gunbroker auctions. Did it work? How long did it take?

Who snopes to see if a story is true or not. is there a snopes patrol that comes around and ask ???? about something said or done.

    Example,
I was at the checkout the other day and this woman came up and gave me $50,000 just for having a red shirt on.

is the snope patrol coming now to check the story out or will it just be listed as not proven.[?]

If something tragic were to happen here in the USA, say a Mass invasion, who the heck is here to fight it off???? Our armed forces are spread all over the Globe,

Our non-combat trained Police agencies will not be of much help,

Our "National Guard" is not well trained, to handle a large scale attack.

There are 80 million Gun Owners in this country, who in actuality have their hands tied by the government, also not trained in combat,

Looks like if it were to happen without notice, we will be in for one hell of a fight...

This is just a supposition: WHAT IF

if everyone knew Remington started making the 1100 again a few years ago. By reading some of the posts it seems everyone is not aware of that fact. Look at the wood on some of the target guns! The gold on the receiver don't hurt either. Beautiful!

To those of you who sell on the site. If you recieve a postal money order and an FFL, how long before you ship? What is the normal time that it takes from the time I drop the money at the post office untill I recieve the item? Lets say 1/4 across the country. Rosie

I was just wondering if anyone else can remember during the "COLD WAR" period the claim of protection for this country by the armed forces. Do you remember that we were not to worry because jets could be scrambled in less than 15 minutes to protect us from any and all harm?I'm not blaming ANYONE! for recent events. But were we really protected back then, or did we just feel good because we believed our country and its leaders? Could an air strike against the USA really have been taken care of or were we more or less just fooling ourselves so as to not cause worry or panic? It just doesn't add up time wise that of the two flights of fighter jets scrambled during the crisis that neither flight was able to reach destination before terrorist strikes. With jet technology advances today, I guess that 30 years ago we must have been fooling ourselves.

If you put three poles up and a tarp around the outside to make an Indian tepee will it leak in the middle where the three poles are tied together at the top sticking out? When it rains.

Ship next day, usually, unless the money order arrives on a Friday. Rarely goes two days.Total turnaround time? Maybe two weeks, tops, unless there is a holiday in there.

With a Postal M.O. or Cert. check I ship next bidness day and Saturdays 'till noon ... if mail comes early (on rare occasions it makes it before 4pm) I'll ship same day. I always use Priority Mail which is 2-3 days so 1 week minimum turn-a-round ... which is another reason I like Pay Pal ... buyers (myself included) can have their item in 2-3 days

The key is having the FFL, because then you're in control. I sell a lot on eBay, and I can ship upon receipt of a Postal Money Order because I trust the money's good. But if I sell a gun and rely on a shipper, I've got to go by what my shipping FFL dealer is willing to do. Hopefully, I would pre-package the box and take it to him ready to tape shut and mail, all addressed etc. But if I decide to leave the gun with the address and hope he gets time to package, prepare and ship, I would imagine a delay is inevitable. I don't like to think so, but being realistic I don't imagine I'm the first thing on his mind all day. Just my few cents.

Sorry, I meant to add that 1/4 across the country, by first class mail, should be less than a business week, or 3 days average for a letter with your money order in it; allow a little longer (5 days) to traverse the whole country.

Why do people on GB insist upon postal money orders? All money orders are pre-paid, so why is one from the USPS better than one from Western Union? I've been wondering for a while now.

Banks treat Postal M.O. & certified checks just like cash, other M.O.'s are treated like personal checks and require up to 10 days to clear ... I always specify Postal M.O. & Certified Checks but not a stickler about it. I ship next day with other m.o.'s too but some sellers I've delt with won't.I have accepted personal checks but buyer has to wait 10 business days ... If they don't mind the wait, I dont either.
