I saw your M-4 on Jonks "Experiment" thread and need to know! How did you mount the Trilux on your M-4?I got one from Tapco and cant seem to mount it correctly, it pops off at the back with just a little pressure applied.I had asked over on the Experts board but no one ever answered my plea for help!

I was a little confused about that too since it didn't come with any instructions, but I played with it and figured it out! You have to remove that little screw on top of the forward rail, that releases the lever so that it can go over the hook on the T bar then take up the slack with the front elevation screw until its secure.Tapco reccomended mounting the T bar to a flat top riser, but from looking at it, it appeared the Dove-Tail riser would work better and the T bar can sit in the groove (but I had to shape it on the sides a little to fit all the way down) I used 2 1/2" allen screws with nylon-lock nuts, 1 in the existing hole in the mount at the mid-point and drilled the other. It works great and is perfectly straight (that was my main concern with the flat top riser) Now if my luminator for the sight will get here as well as my M-203 leaf site for the "Flare Launcher" it will be more or less ready to go out and get sited in!
