Anyone see Springfield Armory's new polymer pistol. It looks like it has influence from the: Glock(apperance, trigger, rail), HK USP(grip, barrel contour, rail) Walther P-99(firing pin indicator), Kahr(grip), SIG(safety & slide levers), Beretta 92 (mag is extremely similar) Anyone has any first hand experience.Think its a good gun?

Supposedly it handles pretty nice, but it looks like an overpriced HS2000 to me. For the $450 you'd spend on one, you're far better of buying a Glock.I also don't like that it's polymer, yet didn't incorporate finger grooves like the Glock. I like SA products, but they should stick to what they're good at instead of trying to muscle into the Tactical Tupperware arena.

I held one at a gun show in Des Moines, IA awhile back. I thought it was an HS2000. It certainly looks to be the exact same pistol. It has good weight to it and feels good in the hand. I am tempted to buy one and give it a go.

I was surprised to see that a S.A. offering was NOT made in America! They can keep the thing!...not made here = no sale!!

All Springfields 1911's are made in Brazil now and have been for quite a few years ... cheap labor and all ... their scopes are made in Japan ... is anything they sell made American made anymore???Like too many companys they are now just riding on their name ...
