this past weekend purchased his .40 cal handgun on *. Supposedly
purchased the gun over the internet with no FFL involved. So why isn't the seller getting in trouble over this??? This was a sale between 2 private individuals and the shooter bought the gun knowing he had a restraining order against him. The big deal being made is the shooter bought the gun with no background check.

He could of bought it from Willie B. Johnson down in the projects without a background check as well. All this does is show us what we already know, criminals disregard the law.
When all is said and done, * will be made out to be the bigger criminal than the shooter himself.

Very true but how does he buy it over the internet with no FFL involved??

Face to face sale. I highly doubt the seller knew anything about the restraining order, unless he was informed about it, and foolishly sold it to the shooter anyway.

It was said that it was an internet sale no mention of face to face and nothing stated the the gun was purchased by a seller within the state. I'm thinking that some key information was left out on purpose to make * look bad.
So who can say here goes all Private sales. And end of Face to face sales.

Keep in mind, we're talking about the media. I'll bet that they have spun "internet sale" into meaning he saw the listing online, and then met the guy and bought the pistol, therefore its an "internet sale".
35WhelenClassic is probably correct, they will blame *, and go after that made up gunshow loophole.

OK now I find it fishy this happened in Paul Ryans State.
Regardless of how the deal went down, * will be made out as the scapegoat in it all.
That's the way the "TALKING HEADS" do it all the damn time [xx(]
They will never tell the way it all is [B)]

Today the Associated Press reported that Radcliffe Haughton purchased a handgun without a background check from a private seller, and obtained the weapon two days after becoming subject to a restraining order that required him to turn any firearms he owned into police.

I would agree.
Also, Brookfield is a really nice area. My old house was just a mile or so from there before I moved.
* is set up by state so it would be real easy to Buy Face to Face and not need a FFL or Background Check.

Wouldn't even have to be face to face as long as in the same state ... Seller could even have shipped it to him in the same state without an ffl legally.
? otherwise, you'll find an excuse.
