I was watching Fox and friends this morning and Jay Leno's lovely wife was on. She has been decrying the plight of women in Afganistan for some years now. When one of the moderators asked her "why don't these womens husbands stand up for them?", she uttered this telling remark. "As soon the Taliban took hold of the government THEY ROUNDED UP ALL THE PRIVATELY HELD WEAPONS SO THEY HAVE NOTHING TO FIGHT BACK WITH". I just love it when someone from what one must consider to be part of the "Media Elite" finally gets it and says so on national television. Of course no US government colud ever be that oppressive. At least not as long as we have our guns!!!!!
