Pickup Box Lid

Just purchased a pickup box lid for my pickup from Glasstite and can't get the lid to adjust down to less than 3/4" from the bottom of the lid to the top of the box.The frame shows between the lid and the pickup box.The ones I have seen all sit about 1/4" above the pickup box. Have been to the factory and they had to grind the adjusting brackets to get it to adjust down that far. I am wondering if they aren't telling me something, like wrong frame or new design and don't have the bugs worked out? Has any one else had a similar problem? Funny how it doesn't bother them when it has been paid for. Thanks for any help!!! Al

My ford came with a roll up top when i bought it, i have the best of both worlds, can use the box for tall items or just roll the cover down the tracks to cover up the bed.

Mine came from Dodge. I'm not sure who made it for them but it has a gap all the way around. The type of gasket and latch system it has holds the cap 3/4" up off of the truck. It took me some time to get used to it but now I like it. If I close it hard it shuts softly. Also there's more room inside that way.
