Human body parts have been discovered in a 368kg tiger shark caught off the NSW central coast.

Four men were fishing off the continental shelf 26 nautical miles (48km) from Blacksmiths, off Lake Macquarie, yesterday when they caught the shark about 2pm (AEST), police said today.

The men took their catch to be weighed at Belmont Yacht Club, then returned to the Blacksmiths Boat Ramp to cut it open.

Inside, they discovered human remains, including a skull, arm and pelvis.

Crime scene officers and a forensic pathologist were at hand last night and the remains were taken to Newcastle morgue.

Chuck Anderson told me that if anybody found a hand and front 3/4 of forearm in a shark wearing a Timex G-Shock watch - he wants the watch back.

Why would a shark wear a Timex watch?

I think we're going to have to ban swimming......and sharks....if it'll save just one life.

If the pelvic bone is wide- I would think it to be a "women eating shark". Sharks eat fish too- is it a "fish eating shark?"

Jocko, Chuck lost his right hand and most of his forearm to a shark couple of years ago. Y'all might have seen him on TV, he made the circuit of talk shows. He told me he figured if he could catch the shark and get the watch back it would be worth a fortune in advertising to Timex.
He was in the shop a while back. I invited him to go shark fishing. Told him we needed some bait
