Rimfire Scope Advice

I am in the process of hunting a descent 1 inch Rimfire scope.I used to buy the Tasco Pronghorns.I had trouble with the crosshairs turning on two of them,I just took them back and exchanged them.I probably have six or seven in use now.Bt Tasco has gone Belly up.A few people said to go with the Simmons, and I have a few High Powered Rifles with Simmons Aetec Scopes on them, and they serve me well.I went in search for a Simmons Rimfire scope. All I can find is the 22 mag scope.Natchez Shooters supply is having a huge Optics sale. And they described the 22 mag scope as scaled down in size and parallax free at 50yrds.What does that mean? At a price of $29.95 for a 4x32 I dont guess you could go wrong. What is parallax free at 50yrds? By the way Im putting it on a nice CZ 22.

Any help,Greatly Appreciated

rugster, when you had this ? on Ask the Experts forum, I offered to send you a Tasco Golden Antler 3X9 that had came with a rifle I had purchased and replaced with a Leupold. All I was hoping for was that you would pay the shipping on it that could not cost anumore than 5-6 bucks. Oh well, somebody else will take it if ou don't want it.

That is a very generous offer,I didnt catch the offer. It does me good to know people like you still exist. If someone else has took the scope that was my loss but I feel as if I still gained much more by your kindness.I would have been willing to pay you for the scope.I checked the post three or four times. But Ive been working the 8:00 PM to 4:00 am shift and I guess I Missed it.I wont forget the offer, just hate I missed it. Best Wishes

I bought one of the Tasco World Class 3x12 40mm rimfire scopes with adjustable objective for my Thompson Center Classic and have been pleased with it. I have one of the regular Tasco 3x9 rimfire scopes, and it is ok, but not nearly as clear as the World Class. I really feel that a 22 scope really needs an adjustible objective if you are using it on an accurate rifle. The best rimfire scope that I ever bought was a compact Leupold 6 power scope with AO, unfortunately they discontinued that model. I have it on my Kimber .22 rifle that is accurate enough to justify it.
