My cousin gave me some canned steel head about 3 years ago and I keep forgetting to eat it...Do you think it's still good. It looks awfully good and I'd like to eat it...just don't want to come down with botulism or something.?.?

I don't accept any responsibilty if you eat it and get sick[:D]
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
from somebody that knows. I'd save it,,,, you might need it. If it
is sealed right in the can, it should be good for a few years anyway,
Hell, when I was in boot camp @ Ft. Jackson, S.C. I remember eating
C-rations that were canned in 1942-43. That was in 1970[:D]
I sometimes test meats on my dog. He'll just puke it out if its bad.
Poor old ranger...
Yep, if you hear air suck into it when you open it.. It was canned properly. Make sure to smell it and then take a little taste before digging in.

LMAO[:D]
I've always done that too but it never seemed that funny until I saw it in writing!
As long as the food is properly prepared before canning, and the canning process is done properly, canned goods can last more than 50 years!
how can you tell if a fish is three years old anyway?
You pull a scale off 3 rows above the lateral line center of body, put it on a microfiche and read the rings as you would a tree.[:)]
Serious, that's how you age fish. I'v done several hundred thousand of them.
