I just picked one up today. I got a good deal on it in .380 cal. The finish looks between 70-80% and a spare mag. I was thinking of using it possibly for an ankle gun. Is there anyone out there that can give me some feedback good and bad about these weapons?

I think these are just about the same size as my 1934 Mauser and I do believe they are kind of big to be hiding on your ankle.

Hey, I've also got a 1934 Mauser! Very good condition, and a very nice little gun. Frankly, I'd say the answer to the ankle question has more to do with whether you can find the right holster for the job. They're definitely small enough to be a good hideout, and maybe a front pocket if not the ankle.

By the way, I had to replace the striker on my 1934 maybe 10 years ago when I let a gun store salesman dry fire it and the pin split, sending the front half flying out of the gun. He had his gunsmith custom-make a new part and was nice enough to split the cost with me. Beware very old guns for lifesaving purposes ....

Uncle Mike's has a nice little belt holster that works just fine with the my 1934 Mauser. In fact it works with my Rem. Model 51 and CZ50 also as these are all 3.5" or so barreled pistols.

Offeror, I need a spare mag for my Mauser. You ever seen any around. I think the 1914 Mauser will fit as it is the same firearm with the exception of the 1934 having a more curved grip.
