    that is an original winchester pattern for engraving and gold plate.
    it's impossible to tell if the bluing is original or the wood finish I would write the guy and feel him out. I have a hunch reserve is in the mid 6k range lots o cash

    It appears to be a very nice gun, but without better photos (or an in hand inspection), it is not possible to say with 100% accuracy if it is original factory engraving. On a potentially high dollar gun, it needs to be appraised by someone who knows his stuff.
